To celebrate five years on the ground in Spain, ecube has officially opened its new facility. The occasion was marked with an event to thank the local and regional government, community and ecube team who have made it all possible. Attending the launch were the Counsellor of Environment, Infrastructures and Territory, Counsellor of Justice and Interior Valencian Government and Senator for Spanish Central Government authorities. Members of the board of directors of Castellón Airport and many other airport partners, customers and ecube employees were also in attendance at the event.
CEO, Lee McConnellogue, said;
“We’re very pleased to be celebrating five years here with this new facility with our partners and customers. The team at Castellón have done a brilliant job establishing ecube in Spain. We can offer aircraft storage, disassembly and transition services in Castellón, whilst taking our leading disassembly offering across the EU with our exceptional team going on the road to support remote projects in the likes of Germany, France, Romania and other Spanish locations.”
He continued;
“We’re looking forward to MRO Europe which is just two hours north of us. Expect to see a large contingent from ecube at the event”.
Located 45 miles north of Valencia, on the east coast of Spain, ecube’s Spanish base offers a warm, dry climate for aircraft storage, as well as easy access to the EU for those in and out of the region.
ecube’s location in Castellón was originally founded five years ago as a counter to the impact of Brexit. 2024’s plans have been focused on customer demand and supporting the growing need of component storage. So, as we celebrate five years, we have opened a new facility to house parts-processing, quality control, crating, storage, and offices for the team.
ecube is growing rapidly in eastern Spain and looking forward to the next half decade to come. It was an honour to celebrate five years in the region with our customers, partners, team, and a new facility.
Gracias y hasta pronto.
